By default all projects are created using the SegmentStream data warehouse which allows for a quick and easy project setup. The main benefits of using the SegmentStream data warehouse option are:
  1. Reduced Infrastructure Management — You don’t need to worry about setting up and maintaining a data warehouse yourself.
  2. Cost-Effectiveness — The solution is included in the fixed subscription cost, so the costs of using SegmentStream will not vary with an increase in the amount of processed data and platform usage.
Overall, using the SegmentStream data warehouse will allow you to focus on your core operations while benefiting from a reliable and efficient data infrastructure and should suit most users that don’t need advanced raw data analysis.
If using your own BigQuery instance is not feasible, contact your SegmentStream manager to confirm the hosted warehouse is enabled for your project.
